mafia wars?

i was playing mafia wars and i don't store my money in the back because i have a mafia of 35 people and the bank takes away 10% of your money. so anyway, here i am with my 400k, log on to mafia wars to discover i was jumped 3 times! how the crap did this happen? he's lvl 12 and im lvl 10.
